Fr. Coutinho is an internationally recognized Ignatian scholar and speaker who offers an Eastern perspective to our Western spirituality. A native of India, he conducts training and renewal programs for the Jesuits on his home continent. For many years, he has offered regular retreats and workshops worldwide that invite people to bring their spiritual awareness into everyday life. He received his doctorate from Saint Louis University, USA, where he is now on the faculty for Theological Studies. He also serves as the Assistant for Mission Formation there.

He is the author of The Ignatian Ideal and Jesuit Reality and of How Big is Your God? This second book has recently received the Eric Hoffer Award for books in Spirituality/Self-Help.
